How These Special Needs Were Addressed in the Previous School?
Try to learn (both from the child, parents and any documentation that may be available for you) what kind of support the child did receive in the previous school to meet her/his special educational needs.
Did she/he get any additional lessons, counselling, therapy? How did they look like, who were they provided by?
Remember that even if certain forms of support/structures/practitioners are named with equivalent words, they may include very different content/responsibilities, so try to ask about as many details as possible.
